So, a while ago I assembled a #piantor, hotswap sockets and Pi pico usb-c clone, and yesterday I got around to testing it. Everything worked fine, except for one single key on the left half. After probing around using a multimeter, and using the digital microscope I bought on a whim, I found what looks like a cold joint on the pin on the #RP2040 the key is connected to.
I don't have a hot air station nor a reflow oven nor a tip fine enough to fix it, so I'll need to replace the Pi I think 😢

I arranged Scrabble tiles to get a feel for what I like. The one I was thinking of buying (maybe, someday) was a pre-built #Piantor #keyboard, a #Cantor with a stronger stagger for around $250.

Training with #piantor - feels much better than the #mac keyboard. Whoa.... And speed is picking up.

#piantor now works with #kmk #miryoku -;) with the help of manna harbour from Miryoku and Leo from #beekeeb - what a great community.

I think I'm April I will work on #piantor with #miryoku #colemakdh - self configured via VIAL. Brown chocs, not.everybody's favorite but I wonder if I can get used to it... #diy #keyboards

Hard day - back to qwerty on my phone, but colemak-dh (!) via #karabinerelements on my Mac. X bottom left ANSI style, which I saw might not be optimal for #ergo boards like my #piantor or $crowboard. But my strategy now is to learn on the #mac #keyboard and then continue with the same colemak-dh map for the letter keys on the #diy boards.

I hope I am not completely messing it up.
