Bonjour, je viens d'installer /e/OS sur le tel de ma compagne car Google à décidé de déployé une mise à jour obligatoire qui met à genoux son #pixel4a

Je pensais pouvoir migrer son compte Google vers un compte Murena en suivant ce lien : https://doc.e.foundation/support-topics/migrate-data-from-google-cloud

Mais je ne trouve pas le menu de migration.
J'ai cru comprendre que les serveur le #MurenaWorkspace était dans les choux depuis octobre, est-ce à cause de cela ?

Mich ärgert es so, dass ich jetzt mir ein neue Smartphone kaufen muss. Meins funktioniert noch prima, ist von der Leistung mehr als ausreichen und der Akku ist auch noch Okay. Aber es gibt keinen Herstellersupport mehr und auch keine Sicherheitsupdates. Damit ist es sowohl bei #calyxos als auch #grapheneos raus. Wo sind wir eigentlich falsch abgebogen? #ewaste #dasIstDochNochGut #righttorepair #Pixel4a

Es gibt für div. Pixel Phones keine Firmware Updates mehr, da Google den Support eingestellt hat. U.a. für das Pixel 4a. Auch Custom Roms sind davon betroffen. Updates für das OS, den Linux Kernel, wird es weiterhin geben, solange dies technisch möglich ist.

Hallelujah! It only took 33 days (of promised max 18) for #Google to send the $50 appeasement and it landed on my bank account today.

Ionno if I would bother importing the original #pixel4a battery here in Serbia and then finding the competent service to change it without breaking the screen though.

Fuck me, the #Pixel4a battery update is a pile of shite.

Not only have they crippled the battery's life, the fucking thing now doesn't charge half the time even when it's showing a "charging" status on the screen. 🙄

Time for LineageOS.

Oh yeah, I'm still yet to see the appeasement from #Google after stated 18 days max (it's been a month already). And after the update block the Google services framework started draining the battery on my #pixel4a because of the update server request loop.

Also cannot order the original replacement battery in Serbia. And there's no even remotely acceptable alternative for this phone at the moment.

#CalyxOS in particular seems very neat – does anyone have experiences with it? I'm not sure how it compares to #GrapheneOS? Or, seeing how the Pixel 4a is "end of life" for both of them, should I just go with #LineageOS?

My phone is now running @calyxos and it's going pretty well. A few apps won't work but that's to be expected I guess. #pixel4a #pixelgate #calyxos

@calyxos If I install #CalyxOS on my #Pixel4a will it undo the Google battery update disaster or is that baked in now?
I need to know whether changing OS is enough to fix it.
