There is some progress on the software side of the DIY polysynth. Check it out!

Amazing how #filthy the new #Artemis 6-voice #polysynth is sounding on utube demos like this. Until effects are added that is. Enough #reverb makes everything #sound average and boring youtu.be/Y0CESsHMS-c?si=XIhv-W

Another update on the polysynth. I printed spacers for the boards and some brackets for the voice cards. Also the jacks are fixed to the casing. Next is the control board. Looks like it’s hard to find some transparent knobs for the rotary encoders so I‘m printing them myself. #synthdiy #synth #analog #acrylic #polysynth

Half finished polysynth in the acrylic casing. Jacks, PSU and main board with voice cards are in.

I made quite some progress last night and I think the case turned out great. Next is to 3d print some parts to hold the polysynth inside #synthdiy #synth #analog #acrylic #polysynth

I‘m pretty excited about the acrylic parts that I ordered for the polysynth. Sizes and holes seem quite precise. I hope I‘m not messing it up while drilling and glueing it 😅 #synthdiy #synth #analog #acrylic #polysynth

Acrylic parts with protective foil just stacked on each other. It’s basically a box with flattened front and holes for controls.

I also started to create some design files for the casing. The idea is to have a transparent acrylic case and you can see the beautiful electronics inside. It's the first time I'm trying to glue acrylic, let's see how this turns out! 2/2

At last, I found some time and motivation to make progress on the 8-voice polysynth. I finished the hardware for the input section (the two small boards on the right). It's basically 4 CV inputs and an analog-to-digital converter and an external audio input which can be mixed in. Next is to fiddle with the software and get the ADC working. I'm curious if the 16 Mhz Arduino is powerful enough to handle the inputs 1/2. #synthdiy #synth #analog #polysynth #arduino

My 8-voice polysynth completely assemled PCBs, main board, 8 voice cards, control panel with 16x2 LCD, input sectionClose up of the assembled voice cards
