However, FWIW, #LowerDecks, #Prodigy, #Picard, and even #StrangeNewWorlds each fit into the #StarTrek family. Each, in their own way, is aspirational and redeeming.

Are they perfect? Heck no. But neither were #TNG, #DS9, #VOY, or #ENT. And let's be honest, #TOS has some doozy moments that aren't very representative of what many longtime Trekkies recognize as good Star Trek today.

The era of #StarTrek we're in now--I'm sure hard-core fans have a name; let's call it "3rd gen"--is going to go down as one big failure despite its many successes. I think being the first eras of Trek that feels like "one of many" doesn't help.

#LowerDecks is beloved.

#StrangeNewWorlds has some very strong episodes and a GREAT cast.

I hear nothing but praise for #Prodigy.

Even #Discovery had good moments.

We'll remember 3rd Gen Trek at its worst, not its best, and that's a shame.
