Here's the last post for the heresy ravens: Praetor Dael Ochret. I tried to sculpt the same haircut on both models to be able to field him with paragon blade and with chainfist. Here's the air support for my Raven Guard. The Storm Eagle was one of the first things I bought after the BaC box sets because I loved the idea of having my terminators come in via airplane. The Xiphon's were instead the very last models I painted for the army. This is one of the last infantry units I added to the army. It's a veteran squad where I've painted up a bunch of the squad in other legion colours. There's a salamander, ultramarine, space wolf, blackshield thousand son and some iron hands. These are my drop pods. In the first edition, Raven Guard had a rite of war that enabled a mix of drop pods and infiltrators, which I thought was perfect. In second edition it became a full drop pod rite of war, so now I don't use them as much. Here's a unit of repurposed old bikers. For me the Age of Darkness system is great because it allows such a wide range of older models to still be used. I bought these at the local store in a sale in 2020. Must've seen them standing on that shelf for at least 10 years. Another unit from my 30k Raven Guard company: Mor Deythan. Space marine snipers is a very rule of cool unit. Here are some specialist characters for the army. The chaplain came with the BaC box and only had a headswap. The master of signal is straight out the box. The suspicious moritat on the left was a mini swap gift from a friend who normally plays Alpha Legion. The jetbike is there because I once bought it to proxy as a chaos lord on disk, but never got round to it. Here's the final unit from the Betrayal at Calth box: Cataphractii Terminators. They are accompanied by a primus medicae that was part of a fomo run. The main source of customization in this army is due to the etched brass set that I was able to get my hands on back then. After the infantry, now some vehicles. The speeder was the first I painted because it was cheap enough to round out 500 points for my club's escalation league. The Betrayal at Calth contemptor's static pose made it hated online, but I magentised mine and played it so much that now it's possibly my favorite dreadnought. The Command Rhino and Land Raider were later purchases when I realised they could boost my reserve rolls. #warhammer #30k #horusheresy #ravenguard

Today I'll share the tactical core for this army. 50 Betrayal at Calth marines with raven guard shoulder pads. 30 bolters, 10 plasma and 10 melta. Sergeants have power swords for stylistic reasons. For me, lovingly painting hordes of infantry is heart of the hobby. This army was the first and only time I did 2 stage edge highlights on all models. With the army being all black it wasn't as time consuming as I had feared. #Warhammer #horusheresy #30k #ravenguard

I'll start off this hobby account by posting an overview picture I took of my first Horus Heresy army. I started the army end of 2015 when Betrayal at Calth came out, but this picture was taken in 2022 after I finished the Xiphons. I plan to keep building the army by adding more allied detachments in the future.
