Sadly #Mastodon doesn't have that option.

• Doesn't need to be fancy. Just something that extracts post contents into a folder and enables one to - if necessarily manually - repost…

Hi there! For those of y'all who don't know what my career path is, mine is a multi-passionate path in which I expertise in the following crafts / careers:

One: Broadcasting, podcasting, and reporting. My career began in the 1990s as the music director at a rather significant college radio station in Chicago. Since then, I anchored the morning news at a major public radio station in the Northwest and I've a since-retired podcast about sex and sexuality.

Two: Composer, singer/songwriter and musician. I did it all, literally. Soundtracks for films both above- and underground; music director and performer for operas and musicals; self-produced albums, singles and YouTube videos; keyboardist, drummer, percussionist, guitarist, bassist, flautist, ukulist. I've been #reposting to #loops and I've noticed slight hostility towards reposting.

Like I get it, credit where credit is due, but are you actually going to go off Loops, go to #Instagram or #TikTok and follow the original creator?

Should maybe @dansup update the EULA to demand that people provide links to original content?

Like I'll delete posts if the original creator asks for it, but people act like reposting from absent creators is a bad thing.

Average copyright enjoyer, I guess.

#Loops has now become a repost central for #TikTok and #Instagram, which I'm not sure was the intention.

But then again, #reposting is how you create #meme #culture - for better or for worse.

You get 60s and can finish at any time before which you can repeat in a loop.

But I really see people using the loop as a mechanic of their content. Things like fading logos in and out at the end and beginning of videos - or perfect timing to cause a perceived effect.

There's gold in them there hills.

When #reposting (er... #boosting) a coherent #thread of #toots (er... #posts), always start from the BOTTOM of the thread, so the toots (er... you know) are arranged logically. See @festal's excellent fresh thread below in my feed. ⤵️
