1980s New Orleans saw this show "Sugar Babies" Mickey Rooney & Ann Miller. Vaudeville bits. The dancing was amazing, especially Ann Miller*. People of my generation may be familiar with the phrase "Eat your heart out, Ann Miller" that Columbia says in the movie "The Rocky Horror Picture Show".

Didn't get half the jokes but had fun. Candy thrown.

I made a #RockyHorror #RHPS callout tonight that got APPLAUSE. I've never had that happen, before.

There were a lot of other weird audience reactions, like people applauding Meatloaf, applauding Frank's first appearance, singing along with some songs, all clapping rhythmically at the same points…

It is very rare that I dress up these days. I had to BUY make up for this because I didn't have any anymore. This was my outfit for Rocky Horror Picture Show last week. It was so much fun to connect to this side of myself. It was also fun to see my friend's face when I dropped off my kid to her to look after for the evening and she saw me all made up for the show.

Every piece of this costume was thrifted except for the bowtie and hat. I had a fun night out connecting with my queer teen self for whom RHPS was Very Important.

I watched the #RHPS 50th anniversary 4K UHD last night, and had tears of joy throughout. It’s the one film I hoped would be remastered properly this year, and Disney finally gave it the treatment it deserves. Dolby Vision & lossless Atmos add remarkable depth.
