Today I started to use the clear buttons one of my volunteers brought to use in our #roomdivider
I love how it works like a lens when you look close-up, how it's almost invisible in frontsight, and shows up from beside....
It's all about layers of gold, embroidery and how to catch the light!

progress of the last weeks...
a lot has happend and made on my #roomdivider
with my volunteers I made a lot of silk berries,
I worked on some cuir froisée drops and added a lot of beadwork with sequins and cannetilles,
with my #Tambourhook and the finest silk I made al lot of little stars, I love to make them!
some barnacles are sewn down with the gilded organza in cuir froisée-techniques with almost painted "brushstrokes"from cannetilles and small beads,
more metalthread wrapped buttons are added,
I totally fell in love with my new worktray, it will be soon on my webshop...
and don't you agree with me that my roomdivider should be exposed in dark circomstances with just some grazing light from a little spot?

I already had those letterbeads, but I didn't knew yet what to do with them... last night I had this idea, now all the names of my volunteers are embroidered on my #roomdivider...

last week we had a gathering with some of my volunteers for my #roomdivider for @kamerschermen2026
@ellen_francke brought some #goldwork embroidered barnacles, wich I've filled with black beads,
and we worked together on the silk berries... aren't they lovely?

Finally I had time to attach my #fractalfringes to my #roomdivider , I have to make some more to make a nice #degradée..
This project is so important for me, for the last 1,5 year embroidery has become a duty, with this project it became a joy again! I'm feeling totally free to develop new techniques, enjoying working with selected volunteers, it brings me so much!
