When I reopened RStudio (non-project mode), and the session was restored with the index.qmd file from the non-project session. The file reverted to its original state, and all changes made within the project were lost. How can I recover them?

Well, fuck me. The new method to order contours fails in other simpler cases. Going back to the old well-tested one. Hopefully because the ordering now happens before projection, this will also fix the previos bug.

Are you doing #GeoSpatial #Statistics in #RStats :rstats: ?

A common operation is to get the adjacency matrix, or neighbour list of the regions using {spdep} and {sf}.

But: often there are islands or unconnected regions. This is a problem for the statistical models! And it's really annoying to fix when you have many regions.

Ich brauche Hilfe beim #Update en ab #linux #mint uma mind. bis auf Version 22, damit ich #rstudio nutzen kann. Über den Anwendungsmanager wird leider gar kein mögliches Update mehr angezeigt und über's terminal mit mintupdate scheint es zu funktionieren, doch dann gibt's eine #fehlermeldung. Ich bin gar keine pro und für Rumprobieren hab ich gerade nicht die Zeit :/ kann mir da jemand helfen? Auf ein zwei Kaffee oder so :) oder wäre das etwas für's #haecksen treffen heute?

I am testing #zed for Markdown and Mermaid editing, in particular if I need to validate my translations to Portuguese. Also doing some light R or Python, because on Ubuntu 24.04 sometimes I experience freezes that require a 'killall zed-editor'. Still cannot replace my favs (#vim and #RStudio) but it looks good.

I do like that it works quite well with my local #ollama models.

TFW you realize the issue you've been trying to debug for a week is a dumb mistake in your code that you would think the package you're using would choke on but didn't.

The function for the package takes a genomic file and a chromosome number as two of the parameters, but the chromosome number is apparently never checked against the genetic data in the file, so it chugged happily along even though every task in the parallelized job used chromosome 1.
