A new #meteorite has been found this afternoon in Normandie, France, as the collected first piece of the meter-sized asteroid #2023_CX1, also named #SAR2667, seen in space by amateur astronomers a few hours before it impacted the Earth atmosphere last monday. The search on place will continue with an int.al team among which a few reknown meteoricists, lead by the #FRIPON /#VigieCiel french group.

#Asteroid #Sar2667 impacted at 02:59 UT this morning, over the English Channel. It was solid cloud here in Oxfordshire but all 4 of our #RaspberryPi #MeteorCameras caught the flash through cloud.
