#Scorcese ‘s Killers of the Flower Moon is a stupendous film.

It slowly kneads away and thickens and really starts to bake till the edges begin to burn and smoke starts billowing everywhere so even the act of sitting there in the cinema watching feels like an act of complicity.

Saw Killers of The Flower Moon last night. An indulgent mess, 90 mins too long, centering the least useful story & completely failing to connect individual actions to systemic causes.

so martin #scorcese is in a rush to get as many things done as he can i suppose.

i must admit, i'm a bit astounded that he is now taking on #TheWager, an amazing book about shipwreck and mutiny i read earlier this year. i can only imagine what the logistics of that production will entail...

anyway it's a great book. read it before the #movie comes out.

Did you watch Ted Lasso? If so, you may already know that the “Beard After Hours” episode in season 2 is inspired by this movie. A somewhat lighter version!

I haven’t seen After Hours in years and I remember appreciating it but not enjoying the experience of watching it. In retrospect, the way it was made and the intensity (?) of the experience of watching it really stuck with me. I can see how it influenced a lot of film/media creators
