As of 9 a.m., a large section of the Camp Easter Road dam and roadway has been washed out, leaving only a few feet of dam wall holding back the water at Crystal Lake.
The good news — water has stopped flowing over the top of the road and the power pole near the dam managed to hold up overnight. The bad news — the risk of dam failure remains high. In one section, only about two feet of the dam is still intact.
Officials continue to monitor the situation closely.
