The shrimp boat "Blackbeard" enters Beaufort Inlet after a day of fishing. Commercial fishing was once the primary industry for residents of the Crystal Coast. More recently tourism and the service industries are likely bigger. Still, the watermen of Carteret county play and important roll by providing seafood to locals and distant markets as well.
