Just by coincidence watched The Amazing Maurice one week ago with my kids on TV.
It has been a decade since his last book .. and exactly today 10 years since he passed 😪
Got mix of feelings. Joy of finding lost treasure and nostalgic sadness.
Positive side: it has been so many years and he has written so many books, that I can start reading them again. It's needed in these turbulent times. Some authors can cure your soul.

I have like.. Half of the Discworld.. And not any of the other..

Once again.
I'm huge #discworld fan. I re-read/listen everything from #sirterrypratchett once a year. So when it was time to decide a graduation work subject back in #ceramic studies.. I didn't need to think long.

So here's my big Discworld #sculpure. All is there, #a'tuin #elephants and the #disc.
Mostly made by #clay but the sea is melted plastic.
I did take some #artistic freedom with elephants.

This is the only one left of four Discworld #art pieces I've made, that I have permission to sell.

Aikaisemmin opiskellut ja tehnyt media/kulttuuri hommia (lähinnä käsityöitä ja taidetta myynyt sinne tänne ja tuonne) ja sosiaalipuolella ja vähän kaikkea muutakin. Kiitos vasta aikuisiällä tunnistettujen #adhd ja #bipolaarihäiriö ja #lukihäiriön ja niihin ehkä liittyvän #alkoholismi kautta oppinut elämään oikeanlaista elämää. Viinan jätin kun piti valita olenko isä vai juoppo.
Olen vihervasemmistofeministi, isä yhdelle biologiselle ja kouralliselle "ottolapsia" (oman kavereita jotka vaan nyt tuli jäädäkseen).
Olen tarina addicti, ahmin kirjoja, äänikirjoja, elokuvia, sarjoja ja tarina vetoisia pelejä. Genreistä rakastan eniten scifi/fantasiaa mutta kauhu/mysteerit menee siinä sivussa. TOki tämä ei sulje pois kaikkea muutakin jos muuten kiinnostaa.

#discworld on elämäni tärkein fiktiivinen maailma ja luen/kuuntelen #sirterrypratchett tuotannon läpi vähintään kerran vuodessa.

Robin Hobb, Ursula LeGuin ja Tad Williams ovat myös korkealla kirjallisuusneroissani.

Olen introvertti, kuulemma pelottavan outo, mutta todellisuudessa lempeä homorummuttaja. En osaa kirjainyhdistelmiä mutta olen liittolainen.

Taide ja käsityöt ovat tärkeässä osassa minuuttani, vaikkakin #fibromyalgia nykyään rajoittaakin tekemistäni. Jonnekin tänne piilotan linkin vahvasti päivittämättömille kotisivuilleni koska kuten kaikessa taiteeseen liittyvässä, mielenkiintoni loppuu siihen, kun tuote on valmis. Niin kauan kuin joku muu, ei ala tekemään markkinointia, myyntiä ja kaikkea muuta, olen täysin vahinkomyyjä.

Koulutukseltani olen media-assari (tai jotain) parinkymmenenvuoden takaa, Keramiikka-artesaani kymmenisenvuoden takaa ja nyt oppisopimuksella puutarhuriksi.

Perheessäni on ihmisiä ja eläimiä, eläimiä ovat Kaksi koiraa, kaksi kilpikonnaa, yksi kukko ja viisi kanaa.

Joko tässä alkaisi olla tarpeeksi?
