Gregory Whitehead - The Problem with Bodies
Holy crap! I was starting to think that I imagined this whole track. Gregory Whitehead's The Problem with Bodies was part of our Sonic Arts curriculum.
For a while now I'd search for this track and I couldn't remember his name. Nothing would come up. I was just listening to a dj /rupture track from Minesweeper Suite (https://slime.computer/@hecks/111358834742993223) and he was credited in the song title!
I think about this track a lot in terms of having a lot of problems with bodies and that he complimented my work when he visited our class one day. UwU
Found our (ca. 2000) Sonic Arts class reader! That semester was taught by Dave Moulton and Zeena Parkins. There's so many amazing essays on the nature of sound and music and politics omg there there's so much in this thing

The forestscapes project aims to explore and document generative arts-based methods for recomposing collections of sound materials to support “collective inquiry” into forests as living cultural landscapes.
As part of the project we have an open call for folders of forest sounds.
