I started my #anime season gap peregrination to find the missed gems of the ending season.
First one is already a massive hit: #mono
I already liked the idea of a good vibes anime focused on finding nice spots, because it gets me back to Yuru Camp.
To my surprise (and pretty obvious to anyone who bothered to read anything about it), it is not only based on the same region as Yuru Camp, but it’s made by the same creator: Afro!
I noticed right on the first episode that the character design and art style was eerily similar, but it took me until seeing Yamanashi prefecture being mentioned that I had the “OMG” moment of realization that the similarities were absolutely intentional.
For anyone who needs a new anime series to watch and likes the laid back style of Yuru Camp(/Laid Back Camp), mono is a must watch.
