I just finished #Defenders #46 and, consequently, the bizarre “story” of Elf with a Gun. In brief, Elf with a Gun was a random Elf who showed up in a few issues and murdered someone. Then, in #46, he got run over by a truck. I thought to myself “Somebody *has* to have written about this.” And I was right. I swear my replies to all of your threads won’t be #SteveGerber -related in some way but this time it can’t be helped! I have to go with the #Marvel / #Image crossover in which Gerber and #ErikLarsen conspired to steal #HowardTheDuck from the corporate giant and replaced him with decoys, with the assistance of #SavageDragon and #DestroyerDuck . His girlfriend also looks similar but instead of a redhead she is a brunette. The “guest star” too looks like Spider-Man but with a crab on his head.

CAPTION 2:
“AMID AN EMPIRE IN RUIN LEONARD PLUNGES INTO BATTLE AGAINST THE AGING SPIDER-CRAB!”

So here you have Nebulon yelling all mad at an equally angry Bambi deer, just because it tapped his dimension-spanning power, and snatched him away from his battle with The Defenders. Or, just another day at the #SteveGerber run on #TheDefenders.
