My first #colourwork project I did as a #giftknit for a friend working in research on #taxevasion.
Little wobbly since I switched from #intarsia to #StrandedKnitting halfway through, but hey, I learned a lot :D
Any ideas on what kind of political wall hanging knit project I should do next?

I just finished the Dalvic Sweater by DROPS. I changed the design of the yoke a little. In the original some parts are knitted with 2 lighter colours in one row. With the yarn I chose, there was not enough contrast. I am happy with the result. #knitting, #strandedknitting,

Slow Sunday with a sick kid on the sofa. Fortunately I can continue to work on my patterns while keeping her company.

Well, hello there! Mary P Hunt has a new cowl design out. Guardian features an intricate design of intertwined #dragons inspired by Celtic myth and the motifs of medieval decoration. Pattern is on Ravelry and there is a #crochet version as well. #Knitting #strandedknitting https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/guardian-cowl-knit

I've made some changes to the big version:
🐿️ The big one is knitted top down. With the children's cardigan, I had a lot of trouble getting the dots to end up at the right place at the joining of the sleeves and yoke for each size, and then there are still only three sizes. Now I wanted to save myself that headache.
🐿️ The cones in the border under the yoke have been given a new design.
🐿️ The rolled edge at the bottom is worked last so that the button edge also gets a rolled edge.

And then obviously another yarn, DK instead of fingering.

I would probably be further than row 26 of this chart if I didn’t stop to scroll the internet and watch the neighborhood kids go sledding and have a snowball fight outside our house.

I completed the body of my DaleGarn Nagano 1998 ski team sweater (jumper if you're English). Frankly one of the most enjoyable knits I've done in quite some time.

The nightmare of everyone doing steeks.

I've only used that technique once and I was absolutely paranoid so I made sure to use "real" Shetland yarn. And it went well. And I still love the experience (even when the garment - a cardigan for a little girl - has long moved on after my daughter grew of it).

But reading this makes me suspicious even after my good experience.

Stranded knitting swatch, two different designs with three different color combinations each. Backgrounds are consistent in dark purple. The larger stripe is xes and stars: one version. In dark green, low contrast; one version in yellow, high contrast; one version in medium green, moderate contrast.

Been trying to stay off the phone as much as possible. Cleaning and organizing led to the discovery of more yarn, which led to the new year's day cast on of another color experiment.
