Two teasels are in close up at the front of the photo, but only one of them is in flower. The tiny purple flowers wrap around the prickly teasel head. There are four or five long, thin leaves which grow up from the base of the teasel head and extend above it, almost as if they're protecting it. In the background are many tall plants with flat yellow flower heads - wild parsley, I think.
