Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) are an English electronic band formed in Meols, Merseyside in 1978 by Andy McCluskey (vocals, bass guitar) and Paul Humphreys (keyboards, vocals). I could never sleep on the weekends, so I would keep the radio station on the air all night.

Middle of the night was best because people would call on the telephone and say things. That was one of the better parts of the job. I took advantage of it sometimes. 🤣
