#telus is working on dismantling their entire #Canadian call centre team and sending the jobs offshore to avoid having unionized workers. Not only that, they are sending people to Manila to train the workers there how to speak without an accent.
This is #racist and a violation of #humanrights.
There are people in Canada with accents too, that is not a problem. The #problem is when you send a bunch of jobs that are sorely needed here in #Canada to other countries just to save a buck.
I implore Canadians to think critically about who their #telecomm provider is and to take action wherever possible to make #responsible and #ethical choices.
