Amazing, cathartic gig from #ThrowingMuses in Bristol last night. Set list included: Theremini, Bea, Dark Blue, South Coast, Kay Catherine, Drugstore Drastic, Him Dancing, Limbo, Libretto, Colder, Counting Backwards, Summer of Love, Slippershell, and Bright Yellow Gun.

Have booked to see them again in Cardiff in August. Not sorry.

Brand new album released mid-March 2025. I got into them in the early 90s with Red Heaven, so I was totally shocked and stoked to find new music! I’m still on first listen but the vibe is haunting, contemplative so far.

Two back-to-back listens of the new Throwing Muses album released this month.

Stripped down, austere sound and just 29 minutes. All 3 singles (Summer of Love, Libretto, Drugstore Drastic) are great. Really like You're Clouds as well.

Usually I'm not the backwards looking- or in this case backwards listening guy, I'm much more interested in new developing trends in music.
