Since the pool hours at #UKY don’t agree with my teaching schedule, I revisited an old love of mine and joined the Lexington #TableTennis club. Today’s first session was a hoot and a half. Nice people, and I was able to hold my own although I haven’t played competitively in over 30 years. Let’s hope the best for my knees.

Our #ABET accreditation visit went well. Look like both our #EngineeringTechnology programs here at #UKY will soon be acccredited. There was only one minor issue that we already have addressed. So at least all the work we put in paid off.
Today was a crazy day finishing up a crazy week.
here are my #ThreeGoodThings nevertheless:
1. My talk at the #UKY teaching excellence symposium went well.
2. Lab and office are clean and organized for our academic program #ABET accreditation visit next week.
3. Relaxing with some good wine and re-watching episodes of #CornerGas.
@cliffwade We'll have the first meeting of this year’s #UKY TEK fellowship, that's our Quality Enhancement Plan mandated by our accreditors. We’ll use the fellowship to develop a trans-disciplinary engineering capstone program that includes students from all engineering disciplines and students from product design as well. Should be a lot of fun.

Turnout for the annual #IEEE Lexington section and #UKY student branch welcome back cookout isn’t half bad. We got lucky with the weather. It was raining all morning but now it’s dry and not too hot.
It was a long wait but the #UKY College of Engineering finally posted the video we made a while back about our automotive computing lab:
@GreatScottGadgets I love teaching my wireless class at #UKY with HackRF as it allows me to demonstrate things in real life I would otherwise have to rely on simulations for. Bang for the buck is unbeatable as I don’t need high power to transmit in my classroom. It’s also a nice thing to show off at recruiting events and open houses.
@EINS_Institute @geekygirldawn Doing my part here at #UKY. Much of my classroom time is spent walking around troubleshooting students' projects and encouraging them to share fixes they found with other students. Peer-led experiential teaching is a very powerful tool. It usually reflects very well in my teaching evaluations.

Last final is done and grading backlog is cleared. Looking forward to graduating our first batch of students in our new #EngineeringTechnology program here at #UKY. 8 students, 100% job placement rate. Not too shabby. I just dread the prep work for our #ABET accreditation.

As a cherry on top of the end of the semester, I today received my secondary appointment in the #UKY Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. So now I’m back to where I started out as a postdoc nearly 23 years ago. #FullCircle
The semester at #UKY is done. I’ve finished my last reviews today. We’ll be graduating our first batch of students in our new programs in #EngineeringTechnology, so that’s exciting. Not looking forward to working on our #ABET accreditation, though. That’ll be a ton of work.
