Utah lawmaker introduces bill to ditch Daylight Saving Time

SALT LAKE CITY — A bill has been introduced ahead of the legislative session to end the back-and-forth of clock changes by moving Utah off of Daylight Saving Time.

Rep. Joseph Elison, R-Toquerville, has filed House Bill 120, which has Utah observe standard time, joining Arizona and Hawaii.

“I find the term substantial compliance a little confusing,” Justice John Pearce says. “To me, it is binary — either you complied or you did not.”

Well, if I'd been in Utah, I would have broken the law today. Men's restroom was empty, no men around. Women's restroom had 7 women in line, I had a time deadline. So I opted to use the men's restroom, as did another woman. #utpol #utleg
