No fuckign way I'll pay $150 for Flux.

1. Documentation doesn't let you filter non-pro components. Nice dark pattern.
2. No animations or transitions.

For $150 you can get FontAwesome 7 Pro Lite+ and Web Awesome 3.0.

If they sold the UI for $50 I would give it a thought, but for $150 it's really bad deal.

#WebComponents people, in this Codepen that I set up for testing, the dialog inside the #ShadowDOM cannot be open by its sibling button even enough they're connected by correct ID attribute.
Is this expected or am I missing something here?

#wordpress plugin Blocks Schema Viewer 0.3.0 is released. With the `json-viewer` #WebComponents it now supports expanding and collapsing JSON tree along with a search functionality.

When creating a web component package (to be imported into other projects), should your custom element:

self-register (call customElement.define() on import)?

include a separate method to register the component (needs to be called by the project using your component)?

export one JS file that self registers and another that doesn’t?

Does anyone have good reading on how major frameworks make their SPA url router? I'm not talking about a hash router, I'd like to see how (with the server configured properly) the JS handles all the things (history pop state changes, link clicks, etc)

Join me at @devconf_cz this summer in Brno, Czech Republic.

#WebComponents are a widespread and proven technology for developing browser-native UIs. A number of new and upcoming features like import attributes, reference targets, and declarative custom elements make web components even more attractive as a part of your front end stack. In this talk we'll explore some of those new APIs from a web development, #accessibility, and architectural perspective and see how they help your community, #OpenSource project, or organization improve performance and accessibility, reduce development time, avoid costly technical debt, and boost engineering talent. If you are a developer, project manager, or technology recruiter, this talk will inform you about the state of the art in front-end web technologies.
