#Salt_Typhoon:
#How #FBI #NSA create problems they claim to be fighting:

1) Backdoor 4 #Wray (#FBI) :

When CALEA was adopted in 1994, it required, #telecom providers to design their systems to comply with #wiretapping requests from #law #enforcement. In 2006, the FCC expanded this mandate to cover #broadband #internet #providers.

2) #cheaper:

The law also required all of these covered providers to #secure their networks — but that point hasn't been enforced.

"#Terroristen, #Hacker, #Kinderschänder ..."
meint #FBI-Direktor Christopher #Wray

Frage:
Wer ist "#uns" ? ?

"Wray served at the pleasure of TFG for >3 yrs. He was negligent in not addressing TFG’s white nat. dom. terrorists +protected him from FBI investigations (or helped stop them). TFG was mostly pleased with his performance until after the ‘20 election. Biden should’ve replaced him."
Re my Nov 2021 post-a prominent contributor:
"I'm going to trust Biden on this one & not ppl on Twitter."

#Wray was complicit in Trump's crimes -quietly dismissed anything that implicated Trump -in office for >7 yrs.

Now we have the evidence, Wray failed; his response to J6 protected & enabled Trump.

Missteps may have hampered preparations for the attack on the US Capitol that day. DHS didn't declare Jan 6 a natsec event, which meant -the FBI played only a supporting role in preparing for the day.

Report found: FBI failed to properly canvass its 55 field offices for information that their confidential human sources may have provided...

The was meant to be independent of the presidency, with a ten-year term so that it straddles administrations, and hence parties. Like throughout modern history, is politicizing law enforcement, and just made it easier for him.

@GottaLaff
This is seriously disturbing news ('s resignation.)

It creates an opening for Head of the that the MUST now fill on . It's not like he has a list of candidates he's considering to fill the position.

(Why does this strike me with the same suspicion as when suddenly resigned for no apparent reason, gifting him a vacancy?) 🤔

This is not good.

By resigning, CREATES an opening for head of the that the must now fill, and it's not like he has a "list" of candidates for the job.

FBI Director #Christopher #Wray and Donald Trump's team are planning for the possibility that the president-elect will replace Wray during the new administration, three people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

One person under consideration for Wray's job is Trump adviser #Kash #Patel, who is also being considered to lead the CIA, according to two other sources.

Wray, whom Trump appointed in 2017 to a 10-year term, enjoys leading the FBI and had intended to serve out his term, a source said.

But he's also preparing for the possibility that Trump will seek to replace him, according to a separate source.
All the sources spoke on condition of anonymity to recount sensitive discussions.

If all runs smooth Trump gets the keys to the kingdom on 20 January 2025.

There were public servants who during Trump 1 demonstrated a clear preparedness to bend to Trump's wishes.

The FBI head 's handling of the pretend second investigation into 's past, which saw all reports of misconduct bundled and sent to Trump's Whitehouse, qualifies him as one of these flexible types.

A lawyer who argued to a court that refugee kids didn't need soap another.

Not fired?

2. Bring #Wray in to testify

The Egyptian government may have given $10 million to Donald Trump in 2017,
♦️violating U.S. law
—but the investigation into the payment was
💥squashed by Attorney General William Barr.

The Washington Post reports, citing unnamed sources, that
an investigation began in 2017 that #Egyptian #President Abdel Fattah El Sisi ⭐️was seeking to give Trump $10 million to boost his 2016 election campaign.

Federal investigators discovered in 2019 that, only five days before Trump was sworn into office,
⭐️nearly $10 million in cash was withdrawn on behalf of an organization linked to Egyptian intelligence.

In the U.S., receiving funds from overseas is a federal crime. Federal investigators were trying to prove if any money actually moved from Egypt to Trump,
and 🔷if that had anything to do with Trump’s decision to boost his campaign in its final days with $10 million of his own money.

But the investigation was 🔥halted by Trump’s Justice Department,
which blocked FBI agents and prosecutors from accessing bank records that could provide the evidence.

In the fall of 2019, #Barr questioned whether there were sufficient grounds for the investigation to continue.

Barr directed the Trump-appointed U.S. attorney in D.C., Jessie #Liu, to examine the intelligence herself,
and instructed FBI Director Christopher #Wray to provide “adult supervision” on FBI agents Barr said were “hell-bent” on pursuing Trump’s records.

Whether Wray (also appointed by Trump) did anything in response isn’t known,
but in June 2020, the prosecutor Barr chose to oversee the investigation, Michael #Sherwin, closed it down, citing insufficient evidence.

👉 “Every American should be concerned about how this case ended,” said one of the Post’s sources.
“The Justice Department is supposed to follow evidence wherever it leads
—it does so all the time to determine if a crime occurred or not.”

Republican House #oversight Committee: Two Faced, Double Standards, Absolute Hypocrisy!

How on earth, can republicans on the house oversight committee get away with ridiculous accusations against Merrick #garland and Christopher #Wray and nobody questions their own ethics?

The House Oversight Committee is a partisan sham. Republicans have majority control over the committee, and have turned it into yet another, corrupt MAGA Trump loyalist tool to manipulate public opinion.

Thank goodness democrats have majority control of the senate, because if this bunch of conspiring thugs did, they would have already impeached and removed Biden, and half of the democrats in the house and senate over more frivolous accusations.

At least democrats have evidence against Trump!
