How do you make a bootable partition lol

I assume the MBR table had an older version of GRUB in it because after reinstalling grub on the MBR, everything seems fine.

Uh… I don't think I know how to manage the MBR table.

(it took moving the boot flag over the empty NTFS drive to make it go)

Mmmm…

Windows XP is not playing nice and always insists on formatting the drive that is already in NTFS format and keeps targeting the other drive and failing.

I think I'll just format it inside Linux.

Boot partition seems safe, it's just the bootloader it's gone.

Still, for some reason Windows XP tried to format the 160GB drive when I selected the 16GB one.

Physical volume is safe, I think it nuked just my boot partition.

Ok, Windows XP is fucking stupid.

I asked the Setup to format the 16GB partition and went ahead and formatted my 160GB LVM Physical Volume.

I literally just. move my mouse to the edge of the screen, click, and drag. it makes sense that they're using some sort of finder window to show the desktop files, but why am I able to resize it? and like....how?
