@Marigoldping Looks really good! I have a special place on my farm for pine trees too…
Time has changed faster than I can cope with.

@uvok I've been using this site for almost a decade. As a heavy modder but low key user, I think I've never received any email from them.
The Cabbage White butterfly is a species that thrives in diverse habitats, these small to medium-sized white butterflies with dark wingtips and spots are a familiar sight, fluttering in abundance during late spring and summer.

Polar Bears
Taking refuge from the weather on the small island of Kolyuchin, known for the weather station that once operated on it in Soviet times, photographer Dmitry Kokh saw movement in one of the abandoned buildings that remained in the village since the station had closed in 1992. Polar Bears had moved in!

@Gargron The tragedy isn’t just that AI is generating misinformation—it’s that future generations may never know the difference. In a world where fiction and reality blur, the ability to discern truth will become a lost art. When the maps are rewritten, how will anyone know they were altered?
@Gargron I agree with you. Humanity polluted everything, including our own knowledges. Which is why I downloaded the whole Wikipedia in early 2023, to keep it as a final reference point. Wish I did it earlier but, for now I think the better things for us to do, is to do our own researches more.
I see generative AI on the web the same way I see forever chemicals in the real world. The effects may not be immediately apparent but they are poisoning mankind. Those who acquired knowledge and skills in the before era will be fine, but newer generations won't have the same reference points to tell reality from fiction. They will search for "baby peacock" on Google and have no reason to believe the actual birds look any different to what they're shown. I find that sad somehow.
The world is in a terrible state, and we are all tired of war, climate breakdown, bad politics, and idiots. On top of that, it's Monday.
However, on the plus side - at least where I am - the sun is out, the early frost is fading, the spring flowers are putting on a brave show, and the camelias are still in full bloom.
@An0n Uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep, so true…
It's 30 °C today. A new historical high. Is this Winter? Spring? Summer?
"Overall, a drainage layer is a useful way to reduce how much water is retained in a plant pot. The results showed that adding a layer of coarse material at the bottom will usually improve drainage, and is very unlikely to make drainage worse. The most universally-effective drainge layer for all the potting mixes in the test was a 60mm layer of 1-2mm sand."

@vadhakara I like this quest too. Sadly, it's the only quest in the Commonwealth (not including Far Harbour) that I think has the quality on par with the West Coast Fallout.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of me arriving in Germany with my parents. If they hadn't abandoned their jobs, friends and family and taken me out of Russia, I might very well have perished by now.
@WhyNotZoidberg Mr Handy Codsworth is already perfect. I wish I could polish him though.
@TechCrunch I've heard they've been planning to add Activitypub for a long time. Tumble gave me lots of good memories. I think this is good news.
