Open-sourced MarkdownFTXUI — a C++ library for rendering and editing Markdown in the terminal, built on FTXUI.

What does MarkdownFTXUI do?
It gives you two FTXUI components:
* Viewer — renders Markdown with headings, bold, italic, links, lists, code blocks, block quotes, and more. Tab through links,
scroll with keyboard or mouse.
* Editor — syntax-highlighted editing with line numbers and a status bar.
* Comes with 3 built-in themes, handles UTF-8 and CJK text, and integrates via CMake find_package.

This has been one of the coolest talks at #FOSDEM this year for me. It's short, really funny and revolves around cool #FOSS technology #JMAP. Watch it, if you care about #Groupware or #FileSync or want to know, why software like #Nextcloud sometimes sucks so hard in regards to syncing files, calendars, contacts or tasks.

I'm the sole developer and decided to skip some features to push the JMAP ecosystem forward.
My next goal is JMAP Calendar, so other features will come after that. But I'll try to add it in next release.
JMAP Contacts in Mailtemi. Not flashy — the UI barely changed — but it's the groundwork for what comes next: JMAP Calendars. Contacts are a useful playground for getting sync and conflict handling right before calendars make everything harder.
What a 🐷 Win.
Embedding WebView2 into GTK4 is such a hack.

My next priority is JMAP Calendar support.
As a sole developer, I’m not sure how long it will take before I can really focus on a full Linux mobile app.
If you find it looks nice, it’s because of libadwaita.
Open source: not yet — but it will be open source with the first Linux version.
I started this as a side project.
Plenty of tests work on localhost only; I haven’t tested how the app behaves if some API keys (like Gmail OAuth) are missing.
A native email, contacts, and calendar app feels like a good fit for a Linux mobile phone, which is why I want to clean things up before opening it.

* Avatars added. Backend is the same as other platforms, just made a few UI bindings.
* reworked the layout to be fully mobile-compatible (AdwBreakpoint)
It so much faster to inspect that JMAP (PatchObject) does the right things.
Xcode, Android Studio are: meh (slow, or do not show anything)

Mailtemi is working on bringing Calendar and Contacts via JMAP to its native mobile apps (iOS/Android).
Some initial work, like the CalDAV ↔ JSCalendar part and a few UI components, is already done.
It will still take some time before it’s fully implemented, though. #email #jmap #calendar

My Monday GTK half-day hacking: WebView shows hardcoded HTML — and in the right place.
Next up: load large HTML and face the big hurdle: scrollbars (those were a pain on iOS & Android).
