Lovely peonies at the Akureyri Botanical Garden in North Iceland last month. It's one of the northernmost botanical gardens in the world. I think the northernmost one is in Tromsø, Norway, which is within the Arctic Circle. I'd love to visit it one day.

I’ve got appointments for a second opinion on what to do about the termites, and also what to do about the tree. Turns out there may be a less expensive option for the bugs, the tree may be what it is. We will see.

I can’t be bothered with today

The good news is there is no sign of termites in or around the immediate vicinity of the house. The bad news is there is a large colony attacking the tree out front, but also battling Texas red ants for dominance of the area. It’ll cost a bit to treat, and won’t necessarily help to take down the tree, apparently.

I think I’d do better in life if I had a longer memory. Seriously, I forget things so quickly. I need to remember more, and focus more on the good. I shall try.

I had a fairly blah night last night. Sigh. No motivation, no nothing, and then I didn’t sleep well.

Only way out is through, and I must try to make strides towards a better me. It happens little by little, each day at a time.

Wish I felt as hopeful as that sounds, but I shall do my best to make it so.
