Wanted to comment a Post, but I feel like its better to do another own Post here.
When I left x I left behind my whole Gamingcommunity because most of them refuse to even think about leaving Twitter. If I'd loose my Discord and twitch Accounts, I'd be cut from almost everything I do outside from work. But I also am sad that the only Example most People tell me why Fedi isn't welcoming them is being lectured about Alttext, as if that is something they never heard about before. I wish we'd do better in general. I found many cool People here, but still missing so much on the other side. Many Opensource-Alternatives also lack Accessibility for ScreenReaderUsers, then OS-People say I have to fix Things myself as a blind Person. As if I don't do enough underpayd Work in this Field every Day. I'd already be burned out if I'd not have Things outside that to recharge again. It becomes harder with whats going on in the World right now. Its simple to say boycott american Stuff if you have no Disability yourself. 1/2
