Dead Minutes is “a story game about scale, time, organisation, and the afterlife” by Tom K. Kemp. Samuel Salminen’s design of the accompanying booklet is typeset using Mercure (Charles Mazé / @abyme) and Optima (Hermann Zapf). More: fontsinuse.com/uses/60294/dead

Cover of the booklet accompanying the game Dead Minutes, Riso-printed in black and set exclusively in caps from the monospaced Mercure Transcript. The title is repeated multiple times, arranged in nested arches, like concrete poetry. Toward the bottom, the words get deconstructed and seem to fall apart. For this, Salminen made use of the font’s stylistic sets which offer glyphs that only show the top or bottom half of a given letter.

New release – we are pleased to announce the release of Axo, a new typeface designed by Charles Mazé.

Axo is a rounded geometric typeface that draws on various writing models from the UK Germany, and France. These letterforms, found on school manuals, technical drawings, and architectural plans contributed to the enduring use of sans serif typefaces.
