@edsu this is really very interesting how you use drawing. Indeed, drawings, even schematic ones, can be well used in analysis and dissemination! I know that Bourdieu used diagrams a lot in his book. But I didn’t know that Du Bois made himself watercolour visionary infographics. Thanks a lot for bringing my attention to this fact!

Very sad news about the death of Michael Burawoy. This’s a huge loss for the global sociological community. His contribution to sociology has been enormous. His Marxist ethnography of the working classes inspired and influenced my research on workers. socialsciencespace.com/2016/04

🔥🔥🔥One more wonderful review of 'The urban life of workers in post-Soviet Russia'! For this time, by Arpita Rachel Abraham published in Doing Sociology: 'the book opens up a different terrain of thinking about political action - one often overshadowed by elite politics.' Thank you! धन्यवाद

❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 One more review of my book which came about organically. This one is more critical than the two previous reviews. I only didn’t get why the reviewer Viktoria Kobzeva ‘feels’ my theoretical contribution as to be limited. My book extends the critical theory of feelings. As an author, I want to believe that my theory of feelings has no limits. But many thanks for engaging with my book!

I’m very glad to read the first positive review on ‘The urban life of workers in post-Soviet Russia’ by Dr. Claudio Morrison from Middlesex University published in The Russian Review.

onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/ab

As well as praising the book, Morrison raises important questions about my theoretical account and the current state of area and working-class studies. I'll write my response later. This review came about organically, without me asking the journal or the author to write it.
