@jenny753 our animu group did something similar, we watched through the 3x ‘79 movies to get folks up to speed on the UC.
It definitely didn’t have as much impact since characters weren’t around on screen long enough to get really attached, but it was absolutely enough context to be able to jump into Gquacks. (who the important characters were, as well as the whole new type Kira-Kira space magic thing)
