🆕 Introducing Git Sync, a new feature in Grafana 12 that provides you with the power of Git version control right in your Grafana instance!
A highlight in the Grafana 12 release, Git Sync is an experimental feature in Grafana OSS and Grafana Enterprise and available to a limited number of users in private preview in Grafana Cloud. It enables you to submit changes in your dashboards as pull requests and get them reviewed by your team directly from Grafana or from Git.

Just finished 3/6 of this brilliant tv show Code of Silence by itvX. All I can say is this: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"this week in gnome" has a new website to celebrate it's 200th week!
get it in your rss reader. it's gonna be a crazy couple of years ahead and this is a good way to pay attention if you're a details person.
Configuring FreeBSD 14.2 to authenticate against a FreeIPA (or Red Hat IDM) with Kerberos and LDAP *without* SSSD or any other clutter. Just plain nslcd (openldap26), and krb5 from FreeBSD.
Very lightweight and simple configuration, entirely done via Ansible:

@FSonder i learn that lesson in the early 1990s during Croatia's war of independence. It was an interesting time to be alive. It's interesting how people learned nothing in the meantime. This quote explains why history is always in rhyme.
Tell it like it is Friedrich.......
Right then, Lastovo: even Guardian journalists can't resist its Croatian charm. Mary Novakovich (or Marija Novaković, if you're feeling local) clearly has excellent taste. What's not to love? 😉 #Lastovo #Croatia #Adriatic

First time properly using RHEL as a daily driver. Felt very grown up.
Then I thought, “Let’s upgrade from RHEL 9 to 10 using leapp — what could possibly go wrong?”
Well, turns out ignoring the preupgrade warnings wasn’t my finest moment. Now the system doesn’t boot, lol 😆😂🤣 #rhel #linux #el9toel10

What a fantastic win for the complainants (@edri members) @panoptykon, @bitsoffreedom, and #ICCL !
@jwolynko the culture difference is massive! We speak our mind and they don't. But if you enjoy exploring cultures at a deeper level, at some point you learn how to switch from direct to indirect style, haha... But it was not easy first 2-3 years, to be honest.
@FSonder being an eastern european migrant to the uk is fun. No one tells you anything, but you see everything on your payslip and working hours you have to spend to make the ends meet.
@jwolynko my story is similar to your, also moved from a small town to Zagreb where I spent on and off 20+ years, but things significantly changed when I moved to the UK. But then, no one moves unless you have a good reason for it. I missed some things from my old life and if I ever get back to Croatia, it will be impossible to rebuild my social life without foreign expats.
@aryston understand! I moved for collage from small city to Warsaw. After graduation and a few years of “getting experience”, beside the family there is almost no old friends. I believe in your case is much more complex.

@gregsie hi Greg, have you ever been involved in deploying FLOSS software as IT project manager? Curious to hear your story. Or a series of toots on your past career. Cheers

Why is the social media space so saturated? Sometimes I feel that in the Usenet era, it was a lot easier to reach out to people and find a friendly and welcoming community. Now everything is so fucking saturated.
@jwolynko good question. My decision was driven by some personal challenges and life circumstances. But had my life unfolded the way it supposed to, the answer would've been -- no 😁
But here I am, and moving back to the old life is not "pick up where you left off" because you and your old friends culturally moved in a different direction and you lost touch over longer period of time. I believe you've already heard that from your fellow Polish expats.
@jwolynko I am actually London based, moved to the UK in 2018 and met at least 1M of your fellow Polish, haha... Actually, my first IT managers were both Polish. When you're a foreigner the very first lifeline is Slavic culture bias, haha 😁
