I’ve got an interesting problem for which, so far, I haven’t found a solution to, at least without reinventing the wheel

I have some remote hosts running Proxmox, organised in a cluster, on which I host some k8s nodes. Issue is, I underspecced those nodes, so I’m having performance issue

I am thinking of moving those hosts to bare metal k8s nodes, running Debian, but I do not have access to these machines physically

I now use nixos-anywhere for someone other nix related stuff, but I would so like a similar solution for Debian - debian-anywhere anyone ?

Has someone faced a similar situation ? I’d be curious to hear stories :)

О сканере отпечатков -- месяц работает. С ошибками вроде как разобрались как жить: где-то фиксом, где-то обходным.
Его задумчивость и неповоротливость несколько раздражает -- быстрее набрать пароль. Необходимость переносить руку. Но здесь в частности для "sudo" появляется большой плюс в защите от человеческого фактора: есть несколько секунд, чтобы «сменить фокус» и посмотреть что собственно делаешь -- ведь когда задумаешься и «смотря в окно» вколачиваешь комманду и следом, без осмысления происходящего, набираешь пароль. Уже только по этому держу его.

Random #Debian Astro package of the week is python3-pyraf. PyRAF is a command language for running IRAF tasks in a Python like environment. It works very similar to IRAF CL, but has been updated to allow such things as importing Python modules, GUI parameter editing and help. It can be imported into Python allowing you to run IRAF commands from within a larger script.

Ich verwende als #GPS Logger ein V-990 von Columbus. Das Gerät speichert die Daten in CSV-Dateien ab. Mit dem Programm #gpsbabel lässt sich die Datei in das GPX-Format umwandeln. Das Programm kann auch Dateien zusammenfügen und hat andere nette Funktionen.

Ich habe z.b. meine Rundreisen mit "-x position,distance=50m" verkleinert, damit sie in der #Nextcloud schneller geladen werden.

Es gibt einige weitere nette Programme GPX und Co.

Per dire, normalmente per aggiungersi al gruppo sudo si usa usermod o useradd, io aggiungevo il mio user in /etc/group alla riga corrispondente a wheel

Finally got around to finishing #Linux on #MicrosoftSurface mini-project. I had installed #Debian a while back, but just never finished with the kernel stuff and installing some real apps. The real push was needing the pen to edit a stupid PDF for tax season. Necessity being the mother of motivation and all that!

Following the Linux-Surface docs on GitHub made everything a breeze, I didn't even have to troubleshoot anything. Now the TypeCover can be removed and replaced, the pen works, Xournal++ is great, and the comic book app seems decent enough (bare necessities, you know!)

And again Debian installed on a laptop. 🙂 HP Probook seems to like it. The machine went from buggy and slow to speedy and slick. 🙂
