Fantastisch en indrukwekkend beeldmateriaal uit vooroorlogs Nijmegen. Veel van wat er te zien is, werd verdrietig genoeg vernietigd tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
Maar veel is tot op de dag van vandaag juist wel nog terug te zien, zoals de herkenbare straten in het eeuwenoude stadscentrum. Bijvoorbeeld de Lange Hezelstraat. En kijk toch dat oude station. 🖤❤️

Last night, after the gig of #Ramkot from Belgium in #doornroosje #nijmegen, I bought their record with a beautiful woodcut based sleeve. It reminded me of the record The Eye (1984) from Islandic band K.U.K.L. with Björk.

By 1948 Jorn's orthodoxy was being publicly challenged by members of his own socialist circle in Denmark and in retrospect we can see that his later development in the 1950's and 1960's indeed took him well outside the mainstream of Marxism.
