SOLVED - Thank you!!

I am trying to learn Python on my Mac but I'm stuck. Looks like I've downloaded Python from a website rather than via Homebrew.

When type `python` followed by anything in the Terminal it tells me there's no such command. Same with entering `python -- version`.

Any help to solve this will be much appreciated! I'm aware I can use online Python emulators, but I'm really keen to run it locally. Goal: to read and understand this book: https://personalfinancespython.com

Pass dense
A #poem

Cozy cottage in green hills —
where my thoughts linger still —
waits, behind a black fence

that’s topped with cast-iron spikes —
old teeth with overbite —
grows taller while the fog grows dense.

On a worn wooded path
up to a high distant pass
that guides me farther hence,

what once had been my home,
all that I’d ever known,
has fallen to a past tense.
