@knowuh Limitations are not what they used to be. I run Arch (btw) and have been gaming on it for a while now. Steam has great compatibility built in for Linux and has solved many issues that once used to be common. I would say it’s a great time to give it a try. Others say Dune will run, but you may have to change a setting for Battle eye to work.

@fb Can you use AUR for one and Flatpack for the other?

I see many devs are very excited about #zed being available on #linux now, but after trying it out I am curious as to why it is getting this much attention? I am not at all trying to rain on the parade but I am genuinely curious about what has everyone so excited? It is a beautiful app for sure and snappy, but what features have you the most excited to use Zed as your editor of choice?

I may catch some heat here, but I needed a #regex today, and instead of digging up a refresher tutorial I typed a prompt into #ai and had it in moments. Where was this stuff years ago when I was developing full time?? Tried it on some #sql acrobatics as well and learned some new tricks!

@themrallen I had been feeling a bit let down that I didn't have an easy way to config my mouse as easily as the official app for Windows, but not anymore! This scratches every itch and then some.

@GothFvck Agreed. Our lighting controller uses #Linux and we have used it for many years without issue. Our video hardware however was built around #Windows 10 and was phased out. Can't help but think they could have greatly extended product support if it was built on Linux.
