More people will die. Thatś just a very sad fact of this presidency that everyone must accept. People dying is one of the consequences of deregulation. And it always has been. These really were the stakes. And they still are.

Everyone is looking for a problem with the #Harris campaign, but I would say they ran a great campaign given the time they had. The problem is, unfortunately, on the other end, and I'm not sure it can be fixed by tactics or by choosing a different person for VP.

@MichaelPorter It's just a whole lot easier to work and progress toward changes in state laws than ammending the Constitution. The Constitution does not require "winner-take-all". And prior to the 1870s it was uncommon. States equal to about 209 EVs have already passed NPV. In states equal to about another 75 EVs the legislation has passed one or both state chambers. As Democrats continue to expand majorities in state legislatures, passage by more states advances.

The only way the right has any cultural currency in America is when it forces it with shitloads of money.

Or how right-wing wealth funds conservative beachheads on college campuses.

I haven’t seen Democrats message nearly enough about how the conservative “movement” is held together by an astroturf propaganda machine funded by the richest people in the country.

Yes, it is flawed. Yes, it is not as directly democratic as it ought to be.

But the awarding of *all* of any state's electoral votes to the single candidate winning the plurality of votes is contained exclusively in state laws. It is not part of the constitution.
