If you are a Steam developer and recently got an email about a class action suit, it's legit and you should check out two sites and your options:
1) Good summary article: https://fixgamingchannel.com/valve-antitrust-lawsuit-steam/

@dosnostalgic Yep: I still play Another World/Out of This World regularly! Had such ambiance and delivered a complete short story in such a small package... a masterpiece! š
Further to my recent post, promoting KDE, I have observed that they have the following ongoing campaign:
This capitalises on the opportunity presented by Microsoft discontinuing Windows 10, coupled with Windows 11's unreasonable new hardware requirements, forcing new PC purchases;
The "end of 10" campaign by KDE, encourages people to install *Linux* instead; it has a handy map of where you can go in your country to get help installing it.
Their mastodon is @Endof10
Rare Episteme | Museum of Dead Card Games is an online multiplayer anti-trading trading card game where you can design cards and bring them to a shared deck to fight an opponent, first one to draw from an empty deck loses! Play it here: https://fallible.itch.io/rare-episteme
This game I've been working on for over a year is now having a public, online playtesting weekend! It'll be available to play until Sunday, when I put the server back to sleep :)

@DosFox If this is "low-end" what the heck does your "high-end" build look like!!? š
@gaghyogi49 Never realized the DVD version was so degraded! š«
@gaghyogi49 What bothers me, personally, more: WTF did they change the yellow lights to blue??!! In what way does this make the story I'm watching better? It feels to me like they took too many liberties with the remaster.
@eniko And a binary number!
I didnāt plan to write about Wayland yet. But Xorg is dying ā not eventually, but now. GNOMEās dropping X11 support. RHEL already removed it. Ubuntu and Fedora are next. And if you rely on accessibility, you donāt get to wait this one out.
So hereās Post 4 of I Want to Love Linux. It Doesnāt Love Me Back.
Iām using Wayland now. Primarily. Not because I love it. Because the fallback is disappearing, and I want to be there helping fix what comes next. GNOME with Orca actually works. KDE and COSMIC are making progress. Iāve talked to the people involved. They care.
But a lot is broken.
MATE ā the desktop most blind users preferred ā isnāt on Wayland.
ocrdesktop doesnāt work. xdotool is gone.
wlroots compositors still donāt reliably support Orcaās keybindings, especially on laptops.
This isnāt GNOMEās fault. Theyāre the only reason accessibility on Wayland works at all.
But the old excuses are gone. āJust use Xorgā isnāt going to be an option much longer.
So yeah. Iām a Wayland shill now. Because Iām using it. Because I have to.
And I want to make sure weāre not excluded from what comes next.

@sinbad Me and my SO are certainly enjoying Split Fiction: I can highly recommend it, especially if you enjoyed It Take Two! š

With a lot of help from @stan (and over 50 contributors) the Adobe Alternatives list has been updated! Loads of alternative software, and all better choices than to keep supporting Adobe.
@britown That's the Space Quest 1 scene on the desert planet Kerona. There's a similar scene in Space Quest 3 on the moon of Ortega.
@jasongorman No, seriously - that's exactly what it is & it's a mechanism exploited by charlatans since always: https://softwarecrisis.dev/letters/llmentalist/
@aeva @awkravchuk I think Allegro's the one that @sos uses to this day. They could probably tell you if it's usable for your case.
@eniko When you're forced to work on a project it can lead to burnout, sure. But when you get to work on the project you WANT to work on and WHEN you want to then it can also be envigourating... at least for me. Just be sure to stop when it feels forced at all.
