It will also make you realise that browser vendors often simplify or even hide important technical concepts (like URLs and search engines) to keep users dependent on their tools — and locked into their ecosystems for profit.

I’m honored to present “Practical Tests for Assessing Accessibility” on Monday, October 27 at 15:00 CET during the NL Design Systems Week.
Since 2020, we've been working in Luxembourg on three practical testing methods for accessibility—covering web, mobile, and PDF. In this session, I’ll walk through how these tests work, their key benefits, and how you can use and contribute to this Open Source initiative.
This event is free and takes place online.
Liquid Glass is not a feature, it's an abomination to UI and accessibility. Looking at the iOS interface through the bottom of a dirty beer glass gives about the same useless experience - without the bugs.

Netscape Navigator 2.0 was released 30 years ago today.
This version introduced a number of new features:
• Plugins! This was the first time a web page could make sound, via RealAudio.
• Incremental display of progressive JPEGs on slow dialup connections.
• Animated GIFs that were actually useful.
• HTML frames.
• JavaScript! That wasn't my fault, but you still have my apologies.
• And of course my baby, the first release of Netscape Mail and News:

I'm working on something I originally had no intention of building: a preview mode for MarkEdit.
Personally, I don't need this feature at all. I've made that clear before, yet I still get occasional requests for it.
So... there's obviously some demand, and I've decided to give in—sort of.
Instead of baking it into the core, the preview experience will be delivered via an extension built on top of the https://github.com/MarkEdit-app/MarkEdit-api.
