Wrote a blog post, instead of another GitLab Snippet, on upgrading our two #Tor relays to use the new Happy Families feature that was released yesterday in Tor 0.4.9.5. All in all, it was extremely uncomplicated to set up, and maybe that can encourage more people to try it out sooner rather than later! 😎

#Tor 0.4.9.5 is out and is the first release in the Tor 0.4.9-series marked as stable. Happy Families and CGO are the two major features in this series.

The #Conduit and #Tor #Snowflake traffic today have been extraordinarily low across all my instances. Yesterday this time just one of my instances had 11.5GB in less than an hour. Today the total traffic have been less than 3GB across all instances and across 10 hours!

Do other folks have the same experience?

@Mehrad yes. My snowflake proxies are pushing way less traffic today. I was wondering if my proxy IP was blocked.

فراخوان پیشکارهای دونه‌برفی #تور

در حال حاضر شبکهٔ دونه‌برفی تور زیر فشار شدیدی از سمت کاربران ایرانیه. در صورتی که کارسازی دارید که به اینترنت آزاد بدون NAT دسترسی داره (اکثر VPSها) می‌تونید با این دستورها در دبیان به گسترش این شبکه کمک کنید:

sudo systemctl enable snowflake-proxy --now
```

اجرای پیشکار دونه‌برفی نه فشاری روی کارساز می‌اره و نه اینترنت زیادی مصرف می‌کنه، ولی به کلی از کاربران ایرانی کمک می‌کنه که بتونن به اینترنت آزاد وصل بشن.

در صورتی که پشت NAT هستید (اکثر کاربران خانگی) کافیه با فایرفاکس برید توی این صفحه، پیشکار دونه‌برفی رو فعّال کنید و بذارید زبونه باز بمونه:

One note: ahf graphs are from volunteers running snowflake proxies. The snowflake clients usage doesn’t seems to be affected by that webrtc restriction.
