The importer now gives you a detailed, colourful breakdown of the import process (using Godot's print_rich(), which supports BBCode tags) and even measures performance of different sections.
Time is mostly spent saving out resources. No idea how to improve this as it seems to be a Godot issue.
New update for Godot-LDtk-Importer! Many bugs have been squashed! Did some work refactoring tilesets and making some nice, pretty messages to help communicate the import process (more Godot tools should do this!)

Just released v1.2 of the Godot LDTK Importer!
Now supports *multiple worlds*, overlapping tiles, alpha tiles, and lots of other fixes.

Updated to 1.1! Now supports external levels, WorldDepth layers and now checks your LDtk version 🔍. Also made an itch page for it.
