As the heatwave continues its worth recalling that it can be fatal for some... so if you know someone over 65 (either in your own home, or a neighbour), or you are over 65 yourself, please (if you're not already doing so) help them keep cool....
as I posted earlier my key method is feet in a bowl of water, but shaded windows & (the Brazilian method of) sheets wetted on one side, with the dry side next to skin, seems to work well too.
Hydration is also key, of course!
