@mntmn I'll be in Berlin presenting at CodeBEAM Europe in early November and I'm wondering if I could impose upon you to come see how the sausage is made as they say. I don't own any MNT products, but if I were buying a new machine today the Reform Next would be on the top of my list.

@feld @adrianc @lawik I decided to lean real hard into ex_check so I have a single drone template which runs mix check and the project is able to decide what is important in its .check.exs file. https://harton.dev/james/drone-templates winds up looking like this https://drone.harton.dev/project-neon/neon-core/933

Super stoked to find out that not only does the built in 4G card in my Lenovo laptop not work in Linux (well not without a lot of fuckery anyway) but I can’t install a well supported Quectel card because they have it bios locked to their own parts. Funny, I thought this was my device. #linux #righttorepurpose

This promises to be a very interesting talk about using Reactor for Nerves device startup.

I think Reactor is also interesting in itself and I look forward to learn more about it.

Hebe and I investigating a slippery jack (suillus luteus) in a pine grove at Wairarapa Moana. Sadly no Porcini's.
A close-up photo of a large mushroom (about 25 cm in diameter) with a slightly out of focus dog in the background.

@lawik @rogerlipscombe check with @zachdaniel - he has something that archives the Ash discord to the web. Maybe that will help?

You know how in cop shows when our hero gets the big collar he gets a standing ovation when he gets back to the station? I just realised that probably never happens because none of them have the emotional intelligence to be that supportive of their peers. #acb

@Prma I know. I find it very concerning myself. I’ve started referring to my output as ā€œartisanal softwares make by handā€

hot take: if this is the kind of cash it takes to sustain the web, maybe we should kill it and start again from first principles? RSS forever, or fuck it, I dunno, JSON over Gopher? It didn’t cost a billion dollars to invent any of the things we like, and it’s bullshit that something as petty as money is the thing holding us hostage here. danfabulich.medium.com/all-fou

Brainā„¢ works on any platform, with any app. The more you use it, the smarter it gets! Brainā„¢ trains only on data you feed it and it’s powered by a renewable caloric process. Start using yours today!
