Stop using Big Tech to organize your protests! They're part of the authoritarian surveillance and oppression as well.

✊ Replace Meetup/Facebook Groups with Mobilizon:
mobilizon.org

📄 Replace Google Docs with CryptPad:
cryptpad.fr

📍 Replace Google Map with Organic Maps:
organicmaps.app

🎞️ Replace YouTube with PeerTube:
joinpeertube.org

📧 Replace Gmail and Google Calendar with Proton or Tuta:
proton.me
tuta.com

🕸️ Create a simple html website with no tracking and no cookies, and post links to it everywhere, including paper posters and stickers.

We can organize without Big Tech. We have done it for centuries before! :blobcatyes:

As climate scientists, we can only tell you why climate change is happening and how severe the consequences will be. It takes voters to choose politicians who will listen and enact policies to avoid the worst possible outcomes.

@Linux I found an issue where the bluetooth keyboard would show connected on GDM but no input. Is that your situation?

@Linux I have had 100% success with SDDM and GDM but LightDM gave me issues with bluetooth keyboards at login with XFCE.

When we released post editing for , we first released a version that supported processing and displaying edits incoming from other servers, before releasing a version that flipped a switch allowing anyone to make edits. We're taking an identical approach with quote posts, as the upcoming 4.4 version of Mastodon will begin displaying quote posts from other servers and software. Once this is widely deployed on the network, 4.5 will bring the long awaited ability to quote posts.

I understand that many Windows users want a OS for gaming. But I think all this hype on has more potential for backlash than anything. I don't see Valve wasting time and money developing a OS for desktop. I don't see how it would be worth the risk of supporting an entire distro, with support for a multitude of hardware and purposes, if what (as any user who plays on Linux knows) really solves the gamer's problem is and not the distro.

@Pro There seems to be some disagreement. From lwn.net/Articles/1020571/ - Wick started his talk by saying that it looks like everything is great with the Flatpak project, but if one looks deeper, "you will notice that it's not being actively developed anymore". There are people who maintain the code base and fix security issues, for example, but "bigger changes are not really happening anymore".
