And when I try via chat, I have to do the same in order to even talk to a bot? No thanks again.
So basically there is no way to unsubscribe. In order to stop #OpenText using my personal data, I have to allow them to use my personal data.

Privacy makes it safe for you to discuss, to organize, to resist, and to be your true self. This is exactly why fascists and authoritarians are attacking it.
If we lose privacy, we lose everything else. We have to defend it with all we've got.

By now you know that Microsoft is now defaulting to saving new Word documents directly to OneDrive. I guess Excel will be the next inline. The cynical take is that this is incredibly convenient for them, especially if they plan on using that data to train future LLMs. Imagine paying for software only to have your data automatically funneled into their cloud. Plus, what happens when you're offline and need those files? Just use the LibreOffice and just say no to all Microsoft products.
Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested after a cyberattack on nursery chain Kido.
Police say the pair tried to extort the company by leaking photos of children, alongside the names, addresses and contact details of their parents and carers. 6,000 pre-school kids and 20,000 parents PII was breached.

What have you thought when you decided for that (overpriced) #lockin situation?
Of course, an #iOS device doesn't really belong to you. It's not up to you which apps you may install. You can't decide on delayed update slots. It's Apple's #cloud only. And Apple's history of business decisions is full of statements that are purely for the benefit of excluding alternatives for political and economic reasons.
Apple will never be on your side. It will always be on the side of it's shareholders and - of course - any US dictatorship that will be in power.
If this doesn't fit your set of requirements, get rid of Apple devices and use something else as long as Google hasn't destroyed #Android as well. With #Pixel (8+) and #GrapheneOS, you have the most power over your device+data, at the moment.
