This fork was necessary since toxic elements within Xorg projects, moles from BigTech, are boycotting any substantial work on Xorg, in order to destroy the project, to eliminate competition of their own products. Classic "embrace, extend, extinguish" tactics.

Right after journalists first began covering the planned fork Xlibre, on June 6th 2025, Redhat employees started a purge on the Xlibre founder's GitLab account on freedesktop.org: deleted the git repo, tickets, merge requests, etc, and so fired the shot that the whole world heard.

This is an independent project, not at all affiliated with BigTech or any of their subsidiaries or tax evasion tools, nor any political activists groups, state actors, etc. It's explicitly free of any "DEI" or similar discriminatory policies. Anybody who's treating others nicely is welcomed.

1/ Wer durch Ost-Berlin läuft, trifft unweigerlich auf Henselmann. Seine Bauten prägen das Stadtbild. Er war einer der wichtigsten Architekten Ost-Berlins, lavierend zwischen künstlerischem Anspruch, ideologischen Parteivorgaben und moderner Baukunst.

Widersprüchlich war er und verlief seine Karriere: Als „Halbjude“ durfte er im NS-Staat nicht als Architekt arbeiten, entwarf aber Häuser für umgesiedelte Bauern. Nach dem Krieg trat er in die KPD ein.

In Berlin wurde er Baumeister des Sozialismus. Er wollte modern bauen, doch Moskau forderte Zuckerbäckerstil: monumental, klassizistisch, ornamentreich. Henselmann fügte sich an der Stalinallee – Brecht tröstete: „Die Arbeiter sind noch nicht reif für die Moderne.“

Anfang der 60er setzte er mit dem Haus der Lehrer erste moderne Akzente. Als eines der ersten Gebäude im internationalen Stil markiert es den Abschied von der nationalen Bautradition. Das umlaufende Mosaik von Womacka idealisiert den sozialistischen Alltag.

In der linken Bildhälfte ist das Haus des Lehrers zu sehen. Ein graues Hochhaus mit einem umlaufenden bunten Mosaik etwas in der 3. und 4. Etage. Daneben ein flaches Gebäude mit einer Glasfassade und einer Kuppel

Regarding the last couple boosts: among other downsides, LLMs encourage people to take long-term risks for perceived, but not always actual, short-term gains. They bet the long-term value of their education on a chance at short-term grade inflation, or they bet the long-term security and maintainability of their software codebase on a chance at short-term productivity gains. My read is that more and more data is suggesting that these are bad bets for most people.

In that respect they're very much like gambling. The messianic fantasies some ChatGPT users have been experiencing fits this picture as well.
