Central City Concern and Rapid Response are now displacing us so frequently that it is downright dangerous, illegal, and inhumane.

The constant posting / moving is causing us to miss out on free meals and essential supplies / services, sheltering ourselves from the heat (and especially our dogs) and creates overall disarray to get through the day. They’re even posting places they know we might move to before we even get there. How such a pointless displacement helps ANYBODY is still a mystery. When they show up to force us to move, its impossible for me to go to a bathroom from 7am-5 or 6 pm due to the chance of them taking ALL of my belongings down to their warehouse miles away, where people's property is ransacked and cherry-picked. You get back what they decide you get back. (Rapid Response)

Something has to be done about this.

It is unconstitutional for a citizen to be forced to move, on foot, a minimum of two blocks - for any reason. But - nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care.

I thought this city was supposed to be progressive (?)

@emma Well, the supporters elected Trump who gutted the EPA and their pesticide regulation, so I don't think the bees are winning.

The #GoogleNest app has become completely unusable for watching the video our cameras record. Just rotating my phone to landscape causes a 5 second delay and loses the point I was trying to watch. I need to start looking for an alternative.

Whoops, didn't realize that I have an ant colony living in the plant on my desk. They are not happy about the amount of water I poured in there (but don't worry, it shouldn't be enough to harm them).

Update: we will probably not be doing another garage sale until we forget how exhausing they are. Getting up early and dragging everything outside wasn't as hard as I was fearing, but dragging everything back in at 3pm in the heat was tortuous (especially since none of the bigger things sold).

The dogs did enjoy just hanging out outside for hours, and were happy to yell at people so they would not take our stuff (they didn't really get the concept of a sale).

A scruffy tan dog lays in the shaded grass, relaxed and looking in the general direction of the camera.

A small white chihuahua mix standing in the sun stares intently off to one side of the camera, seemingly about to bark, which is something she did an awfully lot of.

Heat pump clothes dryer, Samsung. Ran across one of these while traveling. They work very well, and fast. Very energy efficient. Not sure on longevity and reliability, but certainly worked better than I had been led to believe (very fast dry times in Hawaii) #heatpump #clothesdryer #appliance

@Cornellbox @ai6yr I'm guessing it will be a timber or metal building with some concrete walls as visual/texture accents, but we will see.
